It seems the need for storage space in every room is a fact of life and needs creative solutions. Today, I’ve brought along eight images illustrating the idea that style can meet function when it comes to storage. Please enjoy!
Let’s begin with a big idea—an entire wall of built-in shelves for books, bins and decorative objects. This is stylish storage at its best.
With this amazing idea, even under-sink storage can be stylish. Why doesn’t every kitchen have these great storage drawers?
A white kitchen with gorgeous black walls and drum pendant lighting overhead proves even a laundry area can have stylish storage. The placement is quite unexpected but the idea is executed to perfection here.
Bedside tables or chests with drawers work well to eliminate visible clutter, while giving easy access to nighttime necessities like favorite books and reading glasses.
Today, it’s possible to find stylish storage boxes in a rainbow of colors and lovely patterns. Here they’re kept on the floor under a small desk—a clever idea for small living spaces.
Need more open storage space? Roll it in. This industrial cart on wheels offers a place to stash cozy pillows and throws for chilly evenings. As seen here, decorative trays are a great way to keep small objects corralled, and looking stylish, too.
This closet from interior designer Nate Berkus is perhaps the epitome of stylish storage. Certainly it provides a place for everything and everything is in its place. A gold tufted square ottoman is stunning atop the graphic contemporary carpet.
